Graded PRISTINE/Black Label 10 by BGS, with Autograph Grade 10 by Beckett (0018344572). Rookie Card. Among the three examples of this piece recorded in BGS' census reporting, this is the lone copy to achieve Beckett's meritorious Black Label designation. Record-setting Indiana Fever phenom Caitlin Clark has contributed an on-card, blue ink signature to the cardfront of this exceptional Panini Instant Rookie Royalty WNBA Contenders Rookie Ticket Autograph Variation Cracked Ice collectible. Perhaps more than any single athlete since Michael Jordan, Clark has forced trading card companies to innovate at a feverish pace in order to keep up with her sky-high popularity and success. Women's basketball fans and trading card collectors will remember that, for the first 25 years of the WNBA, the league's cards were extraordinarily difficult to find. Sets were intermittently produced, with official licensing passed around at a dizzying rate (even landing with Rittenhouse, known primarily for its science fiction and entertainment sets, for nearly 13 years). Panini captured the license in 2019 and began a steady, if tentative, distribution schedule, releasing WNBA cards exclusively through its Prizm line from 2019 until 2024, when it debuted its first WNBA Select product. What happened in 2024? The Indiana Fever drafted University of Iowa product Clark, a transformational figure in women's sports. With Clark completely taking over the WNBA, the brand-new, ultra-high-end Rookie Royalty production has quickly become arguably the most prestigious release in the history of women's sports trading cards. The card's BGS condition report: Centering: 10, Corners: 10, Edges: 10, Surface: 10. A statement on the card affirms the manufacturer's guarantee of authenticity for the piece's content and serves as the item's COA. The limited-edition piece is serial-numbered "13/25."
